Position Overview

About the Position

The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) invites applications for one Project Assistant-II position at the Center for Creative Learning.

The selected candidate will contribute to educational and outreach activities related to climate change education, experiential learning, schools, teachers, students, and Community Science Centres.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• BCA / B.Sc. or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.

Candidates should also have:

• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards.

• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class 10 and Class 12.

Eligibility will be considered as per IIT Gandhinagar Institute norms.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Preference may be given to candidates having experience in:

• School education

• Science outreach

• STEM activities

• Experiential learning

• Environmental education

• Community-based programmes

• Conducting workshops

• Working with teachers and students

• Climate change initiatives

Job Description

The selected Project Assistant-II will contribute to the implementation and coordination of the Center for Creative Learning's Climate Education Project.

The project involves engagement with:

• Schools

• Community Science Centres

• Teachers

• Students

• Resource persons

• Other relevant stakeholders

The role includes programme implementation, field coordination, preparation of educational activities and materials, documentation, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Coordinate with schools, teachers, resource persons, and other stakeholders.

• Support preparation, distribution, and management of climate education kits.

• Assist in developing and managing educational activity materials, models, and exhibits.

• Help organise teacher workshops and hands-on training programmes at IIT Gandhinagar and other locations.

• Support school-level climate education initiatives.

• Assist with exhibitions, installations, student projects, and awareness activities.

• Support programme documentation and administrative coordination.

Salary / Remuneration

The consolidated monthly remuneration will range from:

INR 35,000 to INR 63,000 per month

The final remuneration will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Appointment Duration

The position is offered for an initial period of:

1 Year

The appointment is temporary and project-based.
