Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) invites applications from academics and corporate professionals with strong teaching experience, publications, and research expertise for faculty positions at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.

Position Overview

Faculty Areas

Faculty positions are available across all levels in the following areas:

• Strategy

• General Management & Communications

• Information Systems

• Innovation, Design & Thinking

• Entrepreneurship

• Business Ethics

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

1. Professor

Essential Qualification

• Ph.D. in the appropriate branch

• First Class or equivalent, in terms of grades, at the preceding degree

• Very good academic record throughout

• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research and publication/industrial experience

• At least 5 years of experience at the level of Associate Professor

2. Associate Professor

Essential Qualification

• Ph.D. in the appropriate branch

• First Class or equivalent, in terms of grades, at the preceding degree

• Very good academic record throughout

• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research and publication/industrial experience

• At least 3 years of experience at the level of Assistant Professor

3. Assistant Professor

Essential Qualification

• Ph.D. in the appropriate branch

• First Class or equivalent, in terms of grades, at the preceding degree

• Very good academic record throughout

• At least 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research with publication/industrial experience

Publication Preference

Candidates having Scopus and ABDC-category publications will be given preference.

Important Conditions

• The University reserves the right to consider and fill or not fill positions in any of the above specializations.

• No correspondence will be entertained regarding the conduct or result of seminar/interview or reasons for not being called.

• Candidates called for interview will receive to-and-fro economy airfare or AC rail fare, whichever is found suitable.

• Regular appointments will have a probation period of 2 years.

• The University offers competitive pay scales for all faculty positions.

• Candidates who have already applied need not apply again.

• The school recognizes that faculty members may have different competencies and follows a Track System – Teaching & Research, allowing faculty flexibility to choose the track they wish to be in.
