📋 Overview of Role

The Ivey Business School at Western University is recruiting a Limited Term faculty colleague in Managerial Accounting and Control. The initial appointment is for three years beginning July 1, 2027, with the possibility of renewal. The role is primarily focused on teaching financial and managerial accounting across Ivey's degree, diploma, and certificate programs.

🎯 Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Teach introductory, intermediate, and/or advanced financial and managerial accounting courses.

• Develop curriculum and create and administer student assessments.

• Demonstrate competency in case teaching, case exam writing, and case-based assessment.

• Assess students' oral contributions to classroom discussions in an equitable and rigorous manner.

• Contribute to the Managerial Accounting and Control area group, Ivey Business School, Western University, and the accounting profession through service.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and administrative staff.

• Contribute to teaching and leadership within the Ivey community.

🎓 Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: A Master's degree is required.

• Experience & Specializations: Strong college or university-level teaching experience in financial and managerial accounting, curriculum development, assessment development, and case-based teaching.

• Certifications / Licensure: CPA designation and/or extensive professional accounting experience is required.

• Professional Profile: Strong communication, collaboration, cultural competence, and interpersonal skills are expected.
