📋 Overview of Role

The Department of Economics at the H-E-B School of Business and Administration invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Economics for the 2026–2027 academic year. The applicant pool will be maintained and used to hire part-time faculty as teaching needs arise.

🎯 Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Economics courses.

• Prepare course materials, lectures, assessments, and student feedback in accordance with approved syllabi.

• Provide student support outside class and maintain timely academic records.

• Collaborate with departmental faculty to ensure curriculum outcomes are met.

• Participate in departmental meetings and other assigned professional activities.

🎓 Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: Master's degree in Economics or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Economics for undergraduate teaching; a Doctorate in Economics is required to teach graduate courses.

• Experience & Specializations: At least 1 year of professional experience in economics, finance, or business. Higher-education teaching experience is preferred.

• Teaching Skills: Ability to teach primarily in person, with online teaching as needed, and effectively use instructional technology.

• Additional: Flexibility to teach evening sections and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
