Overview of the Role

The H-E-B School of Business & Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word invites applications for part-time Lecturer in Management positions for Spring 2027.

The applicant pool will remain active and will be used to hire part-time faculty as instructional needs arise.

Selected faculty may teach undergraduate and/or graduate Management courses.

Key Teaching Responsibilities

The Lecturer will be expected to:

• Prepare course outlines using approved departmental syllabi.

• Deliver engaging and interactive instruction.

• Prepare and administer appropriate assessments.

• Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.

• Provide timely feedback to students.

• Maintain accurate academic records.

• Collaborate with departmental faculty.

• Maintain availability outside scheduled class time.

• Participate in departmental meetings when requested.

• Maintain regular communication with the MBA Director and Department Chair.

• Follow applicable university policies and procedures.

Teaching Format

Candidates should be able to:

• Deliver instruction in person.

• Teach online where required.

• Use instructional technology effectively.

• Teach evening sections if needed.

• Work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Required Education

For undergraduate teaching:

• Master’s degree in Management or a closely related field.

For graduate teaching:

• Doctorate in Management or a closely related field.

Required Experience

Applicants must have:

• At least 1 year of professional experience in the field of Management.

Preferred Qualification

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Prior college or university teaching experience in Management.

Salary / Remuneration

The advertised compensation is:

• USD 3,000 with a Master’s degree

  • Approximately INR 2.84 lakh

• USD 3,500 with a Ph.D.

  • Approximately INR 3.32 lakh
