Overview of Role

The University of Cincinnati Donald P. Klekamp College of Law invites applications for a full-time, open-rank Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Clinical Law position.

The successful candidate will also serve as Director of the Domestic Violence and Civil Protection Order Clinic, supervising law students who represent survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse in securing civil protection orders.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Appear in court on behalf of clinic clients.

• Supervise students participating in the clinic.

• Develop and evaluate the clinic curriculum.

• Teach the classroom component of the clinic.

• Prepare teaching materials.

• Participate in faculty meetings and governance.

• Maintain strong relationships with relevant campus and community organisations.

• Support activities related to the clinic’s educational and public-service mission.

Clinical & Community Engagement

The Director will work closely with relevant organisations, including:

• Nathaniel R. Jones Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice

• Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati

• Other relevant on-campus and community organisations

The clinic may also participate in public-policy work related to the rights of survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

• License to practice law in Ohio

Candidates who are not currently licensed in Ohio but are licensed in another jurisdiction must:

• Be immediately eligible for temporary certification to practice in Ohio under Rule IX of the Ohio Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio

• Subsequently seek permanent admission to practice law in Ohio under the applicable Rule I requirements

Salary & Benefits

The stated annual salary range is approximately:

• INR 87.10 lakh annually at the lower end

• INR 1.21 crore annually at the upper end

Final compensation depends on candidate experience, credentials, and faculty rank.
