The Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley is establishing an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Business and Public Policy as openings arise. Initial appointments may range from one semester to one year, with positions of up to 33% time.

🎯 Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Teach courses in Business and Public Policy as instructional needs arise.

• Hold office hours and support students.

• Prepare course materials and assign grades.

• Contribute to the teaching mission of the Haas School of Business.

• Candidates with relevant professional experience in Operations and Information Technology Management may be considered for applicable courses.

🎓 Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree at the time of application.

• Experience & Specializations: Minimum four years of professional practice in a field relevant to the course being taught.

• Preferred Experience: Professional experience in Operations and Information Technology Management within a business, government, or nonprofit organization.

• Preferred Qualifications: Higher education teaching experience and/or an advanced degree.

• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

💼 Remuneration & Benefits

• Salary Range: USD $73,817–$207,711 for a full-time appointment, based on the applicable UC academic salary scale.

• Positions may range up to 33% time, so actual compensation will depend on appointment percentage.

• Initial appointments are one semester to one year.

• UC lecturers are represented by UC-AFT.
