Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Registrar on a deputation basis, including Short Term Contract.

Registrar

SVNIT Surat is seeking a bright, dynamic, qualified, experienced and suitable professional to handle the institute’s administrative requirements.

The Registrar is a senior Group ‘A’ administrative position responsible for supporting the overall administration and institutional governance of the institute.

Pay Level

The position carries:

Pay Level 14

Salary, allowances and other benefits will be applicable according to Government of India and institute rules.

Method & Tenure of Recruitment

The appointment will be made through:

Deputation, including Short Term Contract

The appointment will be for:

• 5 years, or

• Until the candidate attains the age of 62 years,

whichever is earlier, or as prescribed by the Government of India through applicable orders from time to time.

The eligibility criteria for the Registrar position will be governed by the:

Recruitment Rules of NITs (2019)

and subsequent updates issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
