Overview of Role

The College of Business at Stony Brook University invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management within its Organizational Behavior, Strategy and Entrepreneurship group.

Appointments may be made at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Applications are welcomed from candidates nearing completion of their Ph.D. as well as current Assistant and Associate Professors.

Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Management.

• Deliver courses in person at the Stony Brook University campus.

• Conduct high-impact research in Management.

• Publish research in leading peer-reviewed academic journals.

• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

• Participate in College and University committees.

• Support accreditation activities, including AACSB-related initiatives.

• Engage with community and industry partners.

• Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and academically productive environment.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• Doctoral degree must be completed before the position start date.

• Demonstrated excellence or strong potential for excellence in research.

• Research should have the potential to make a significant contribution to:

  • Organizational Behavior

  • Strategy

  • Entrepreneurship

• Strong potential for excellence in teaching is preferred.

• Research interests and methodological approaches that complement existing faculty strengths are preferred.

• Ability to contribute effectively to the College’s academic, research, and service mission.
