Overview of Role

Stony Brook University’s College of Business invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions in Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management within its Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship group. Candidates nearing completion of their PhD as well as current Assistant and Associate Professors are encouraged to apply.

The anticipated start date is September 1, 2027.

Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Management, including Organizational Behavior, Strategy, or Entrepreneurship.

• Conduct and publish high-impact management research in leading peer-reviewed journals.

• Provide service to the College and University, including committee participation and AACSB accreditation activities.

• Mentor students and engage with the wider business community and industry.

• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, creative, and supportive academic environment.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: PhD in Organizational Behavior, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, completed before the start date.

• Experience & Specializations: Demonstrated or high potential for excellence in management research with strong potential for impact in Organizational Behavior or Strategy/Entrepreneurship.

• Teaching: Demonstrated or high potential for excellence in teaching Organizational Behavior, Strategy, or Entrepreneurship.

• Research Fit: Research area and methodological approach that complement existing faculty interests.

• Academic Profile: Candidates may be nearing completion of their PhD or may currently hold Assistant or Associate Professor positions.
