About the Special Issue
Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal invites submissions for its Special Issue titled "Implementing the Physical Internet: Supply Chain Intelligence, Business Innovation and Transition Pathways."
The Physical Internet (PI) is rapidly evolving from a conceptual framework into practical implementation through pilots, demonstrators, living labs, and large-scale collaborative initiatives. This Special Issue seeks empirically grounded and practice-oriented research that explores how Physical Internet principles can be implemented, governed, and scaled to transform modern supply chains.
Researchers, practitioners, and policymakers are invited to contribute studies that provide actionable insights into supply chain intelligence, business innovation, digital transformation, governance, sustainability, and transition pathways. While the Special Issue is associated with the IPIC 2026 International Conference, submissions are welcome from all authors.
