Overview of the Recruitment

Satavahana University, Karimnagar, invites applications from eligible candidates for Part-Time Faculty positions for the academic year 2026–27.

The recruitment covers postgraduate programmes in:

• M.Com. (Fin Tech)

• MSW

• M.Sc. Food Science & Nutrition

• M.Sc. Forensic Science

Appointments will be purely temporary and may be terminated without prior notice.

M.Sc. Food Science & Nutrition – 2 Positions

• 18 – BC-D

M.Sc. Forensic Science – 3 Positions

Roster:

• 19 – BC-E

• 20 – BC-A

The University will follow the applicable Rule of Reservation during selection.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess:

• A Master’s degree in the relevant subject

• Minimum 55% marks

For SC/ST candidates:

• Minimum 50% marks

Candidates must also have cleared:

• NET

• SET

• SLET

Candidates awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SET/SLET requirements.

Preference

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Ph.D. qualification

• Teaching experience

Selection Process

Applications will first be scrutinised by the University.

Selection will be based on:

• Educational qualifications

• Demonstration

• Interview

• Rule of Reservation

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process.

The interview date will be announced later.

Candidates securing higher marks in the selection process will be considered for appointment.

Remuneration

Part-time teachers will be paid according to:

• Satavahana University-approved rates

• Actual number of classes taken during the semester as per the academic almanac

The notification does not specify a fixed monthly salary.

Part-time faculty will not be entitled to benefits available to regular University teachers, apart from the approved wages for the part-time teaching arrangement.

Important Conditions

• Appointment is purely temporary.

• Appointment may be terminated without prior notice.

• Part-time teachers will not receive benefits available to regular faculty.
