The Department of Sociology, Rajiv Gandhi University invites eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for engagement as Teaching Assistants.

The opportunity is suitable for candidates with a postgraduate background in Sociology who meet the prescribed national-level eligibility requirements.

Essential Qualification

Candidates must have:

• M.A. in Sociology with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade system from an accredited Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

• Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited test such as SLET/SET.

Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement as stated in the advertisement.

Desirable Qualification

Preference is indicated for candidates with:

• Ph.D. in Sociology

• Good knowledge of the subject domain

Remuneration

Selected Teaching Assistants will receive:

INR 1,000 per class

Subject to a maximum remuneration of:

INR 40,000 per month
