Overview of the Opportunity

Rajiv Gandhi University invites eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for one Teaching Assistant position in the Department of Agricultural Extension & Communication, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.

The engagement is purely temporary for one semester, though services may be extended if required by the University.

Essential Qualification

Applicants must possess:

• M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension / Extension Education

• Minimum 55% marks, or equivalent grade under the applicable grading system

• Degree from an accredited Indian or foreign university

Candidates must also have cleared:

• ICAR-National Eligibility Test (NET), or

• Equivalent NET

NET Exemption

Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. are exempted from the requirement of ICAR-NET or equivalent NET.

Preference

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Ph.D.

• NET qualification

• Teaching experience

Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive:

INR 1,000 per class

subject to a maximum consolidated remuneration of:

INR 40,000 per month

The payment is therefore based on the actual number of classes taken, up to the monthly ceiling.

Nature of Appointment

The appointment is:

• Purely temporary

• Initially for one semester

• Extendable if required by Rajiv Gandhi University

• Other unavoidable disruption

the interview will be held on the next working day.
