National Post-Doctoral Fellowship Recruitment 2026 at IIT Roorkee – ANRF-Funded EV Research Project

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites applications from Indian nationals for 01 National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (NPDF) position in the Department of Electrical Engineering under an ANRF-sponsored research project focused on electric vehicle charging technologies and grid readiness.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Grid Readiness for EV: Enablers and Technological Development (GREET)”

The project focuses on technological development for electric vehicle charging systems, grid readiness, power electronics and associated communication protocols.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Ph.D. in the broad area of Power Electronics

• At least two research publications

Preference will be given to candidates having publications in reputed IEEE Journals / Transactions, preferably Q1 journals.

Desirable Experience

Candidates with the following background will be preferred:

• Hardware design

• Experimental research

• Power electronic converters

• EV charger development

• Electric vehicle charging technologies

• Communication protocols associated with EV charging systems

Job Responsibilities

The selected NPDF will primarily work on:

• Experimental research related to EV charger development

• Development and testing of power-electronic systems

• Research involving relevant communication protocols

• Hardware implementation and experimental validation

• Supporting successful execution of the GREET research project

Fellowship

The selected candidate will receive:

INR 80,000 per month

as the prescribed monthly fellowship for the National Post-Doctoral Fellowship position.

Duration of Appointment

The fellowship will be offered for:

1 Year

The position will be co-terminus with the research project.
