The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), and Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) positions under a sponsored R&D project focused on quantum computing, deep learning, and image analysis.

Position Overview

Project Title

Qu-GEN: A Versatile Quanvolutional Neural Network Library for Enhanced Image Analysis on Quantum Computers

Project / Role Details

Selected candidates will contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of a hybrid quantum-classical image analysis framework.

The project involves research areas such as:

• Quantum computing

• Quanvolutional Neural Networks

• Hybrid quantum-classical learning

• Deep learning

• Computer vision

• Image processing and analysis

• Quantum image processing

Eligibility & Qualifications

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Candidates should possess either:

• M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in CSE/IT/AI/ECE/EE or allied branches with:

  • Minimum 60% marks, or

  • 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale

  • Plus GATE/NET qualification

OR

• B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in CSE/IT/AI/ECE/EE or allied branches with:

  • Minimum 75% marks, or

  • 7.5 CPI on a 10-point scale

  • Plus GATE/NET qualification

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Must satisfy the qualifications prescribed for JRF

• Must have at least 2 years of research experience

3. Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF)

Candidates should possess:

• Ph.D. in CSE/IT/AI/ECE/EE or allied branches

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale

• GATE/NET or equivalent examination qualification

• At least one SCI journal publication

Desirable Qualifications

For JRF/SRF

Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in:

• Deep learning

• Computer vision

• Image processing

• Git/GitHub

• Scientific research

For Postdoctoral Fellow

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Research experience in hybrid quantum-classical learning

• Experience in quantum image processing

• Experience in computer vision and image analysis

• Publications in reputed journals/conferences

Fellowship / Salary

Fellowship will be governed by the sanctioned project and funding-agency norms.

Age limits and applicable relaxations will be governed by the rules and guidelines of:

• Funding agency

• Government of India

• IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
