The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh invites applications for Project Research Scientist-III (Medical and Non-Medical) positions under an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-funded clinical research project in the Department of Pediatrics.

About the Research Project

The positions are available under the ICMR-funded project titled:

“Hormonal therapy for Antiepileptogenesis in high-risk Infants with neonatally Acquired Brain Injury: Multicenter, Double-blind, Preventive, Randomized Placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial – The EPI-Curb trial”

The project is being conducted under Dr. Priyanka Madaan, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, PGIMER Chandigarh.

1. Project Research Scientist-III (Medical)

Number of Posts: 01
Maximum Age: 45 Years
Salary: INR 93,000 per month + 20% HRA

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess either:

• MBBS/BDS + Postgraduate Degree (MD/MDS/MPH), including integrated PG degrees, with 3 years of post-qualification experience

OR

• MBBS/BDS with MPH/PhD and 3 years of post-qualification experience

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience working in a clinical trial

• Experience in paediatric epilepsy

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification

2. Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical)

Number of Posts: 01
Maximum Age: 45 Years
Salary: INR 78,000 per month + 20% HRA

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess either:

• Postgraduate Degree, including integrated PG degrees, with 5 years of post-qualification experience

OR

• PhD + 2 years of post-qualification experience

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience working in a clinical trial

• Experience in paediatric epilepsy

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification

Appointment Duration

The positions are purely contractual until completion of the first year of the project on 30 September 2027.

The appointments may subsequently be extended periodically by the funding agency until completion of the project on 30 September 2030, subject to applicable conditions.

The maximum project duration is 4 years.
