The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) invites applications for 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an ANRF-sponsored research project focused on secure digital twins, zero-knowledge technologies, cryptography, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Secure Zero-Knowledge Digital Twin Interaction in Smart Factory”

The ANRF-funded project focuses on developing secure and privacy-preserving technologies for Digital Twin environments in smart factories, with research spanning cryptography, zero-knowledge mechanisms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and smart manufacturing.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should satisfy any one of the following qualification routes:

Route 1: B.Tech./B.E. + M.Tech./M.E.

Candidates should possess:

• B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering

AND

• M.Tech./M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering or an equivalent/relevant discipline

Minimum Academic Requirement

For GEN / GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL candidates:

• Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels.

For SC / ST / PwD candidates:

• Minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG levels.

Route 2: B.Tech./B.E.

Candidates possessing a B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering may also apply provided they meet the following academic criteria:

For GEN / GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL candidates:

• Minimum 70% aggregate marks or 7.5/10 CGPA

For SC / ST / PwD candidates:

• Minimum 65% aggregate marks or 7.0/10 CGPA

Academic Evaluation Note

• The CGPA/percentage should be awarded by a recognized university or institute.

• Only the primary mode of evaluation mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate/mark sheet will be considered while verifying eligibility.

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Knowledge

Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge in:

• Cryptography

• Linear Algebra

• Number Theory

• Artificial Intelligence

• Machine Learning

• Smart Manufacturing

Desirable Experience

Additional preference may be given to candidates with:

• Qualified GATE (CSE)

• Experience in Modern Cryptography

• Experience in Post-Quantum Cryptography

• Prior experience in an R&D laboratory

• Involvement in relevant academic or industry research projects

Fellowship

The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive:

• First Year: INR 37,000 per month + HRA

• Second Year: INR 37,000 per month + HRA

• Third Year: INR 42,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per applicable Government of India / NIT Warangal rules.

HRA & Accommodation

• HRA will be provided as per applicable government rules at NIT Warangal.

• The selected candidate will also be eligible for on-campus Hostel and Mess facilities, subject to availability.

Age Limit

The prescribed upper age limits are:

The age will be considered as on the commencement date of the notification.

Job Responsibilities

The selected JRF will contribute to the successful execution of the research project through activities including:

• Procurement of project-related equipment

• Designing research solutions

• Implementing proposed solutions using relevant tools and software

• Conducting experiments related to the research project

• Analysing and interpreting experimental results

• Preparing technical and research reports

• Supporting other activities required for successful execution of the project

Duration of Appointment

The JRF position is available for a:

Maximum period of 3 years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

The appointment is project-based and subject to applicable NIT Warangal and ANRF rules.
