National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) invites applications from Indian nationals for 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I position under a research project funded by the Science for Equity, Empowerment and Development (SEED), Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Position Overview

Project Title

Design and Development of a Non-Invasive RFID-based Wearable Sensor System for the Detection of Atrial Fibrillation in the Elderly

The project is supported under Science for Equity, Empowerment and Development (SEED), Technology Interventions for Disabled and Elderly (TIDE), DST.

Essential Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. with First Class in:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)

  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE)

  • Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE)

  • Allied Circuit branches

• Degree must be from a UGC-recognized University/College

• Candidates must have a valid GATE qualification

Preference for JRF

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• M.E./M.Tech. in:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Instrumentation

  • Allied Circuit branches

• First Class with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA

Project Associate-I

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. with First Class in:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • ECE

  • EEE

  • ICE

  • EIE

  • Allied Circuit branches

• Degree must be from a UGC-recognized University/College

Preference for Project Associate-I

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• M.E./M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering / Instrumentation / Allied Circuit branches

• First Class with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA

Fellowship / Emoluments

For GATE-Qualified Candidates – JRF

• First Two Years: INR 37,000 per month + HRA

• Third Year: INR 42,000 per month + HRA

For Non-GATE Candidates – Project Associate-I

• First Two Years: INR 30,000 per month + HRA

• Third Year: INR 33,000 per month + HRA

• Biomedical instrumentation

• Wearable sensor systems

• RFID-based healthcare technologies

• Atrial fibrillation detection

• Non-invasive monitoring systems

• Healthcare technologies for elderly populations
