Position Overview

Project Title

A Digital Twin Approach for Personalized Assessment of Knee Osteoarthritis

The project focuses on developing digital twin models integrating biomechanics and artificial intelligence for personalized assessment of knee osteoarthritis.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade point in:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Related disciplines

Candidates having a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields will be preferred.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Strong background in biomechanics and musculoskeletal modelling

• Working knowledge of OpenSim

• Working knowledge of:

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Machine Learning

  • Deep Learning

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will have major involvement in the development of a Digital Twin framework integrating Biomechanics and AI.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing digital twin models

• Collecting motion capture data

• Processing and analysing experimental data

• Integrating biomechanical models with data-driven AI frameworks

• Validating digital twin models using experimental and clinical data

• Supporting research related to musculoskeletal biomechanics and knee osteoarthritis

Salary

The selected Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) will receive:

INR 56,000 per month + 20% HRA

Age Limit

Maximum age: 35 years

Age relaxation, where applicable, will be governed by the relevant project/institutional rules.

Project Duration

The overall project duration is 3 years.

The appointment will initially be made for 1 year, with further continuation subject to project requirements and applicable conditions.
