The National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) invites applications for 01 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under a sponsored project of the Cyber Security Division, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The project focuses on Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Next Generation Data Carving and Preservation Techniques for Storage Drive Forensics”

The project involves advanced research and development in:

• Digital Forensics

• Cyber Security

• Artificial Intelligence

• Machine Learning

• Storage Drive Forensics

• Data Carving and Preservation

• Deep Learning

• Software Development

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

Option 1

• M.E. / M.Tech. / MCA in a relevant discipline

OR

Option 2

• B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. with qualified GATE/NET in:

  • Computer Science & Engineering

  • Information Technology

  • Cyber Security

  • Computer Science

  • Computer Applications

  • Or an equivalent discipline

Minimum Academic Requirement

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 60% aggregate marks for general candidates

• Minimum 55% aggregate marks for reserved-category candidates

OR

• Minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale

• Minimum 5.5 CGPA for reserved-category candidates

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of:

2 years of experience in a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

Preference will be given to candidates having strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:

• Digital Forensics

• Cyber Security

• Machine Learning

• Deep Learning

• Full-Stack Software Development

• Python Programming

Fellowship

The selected Senior Research Fellow will receive:

INR 42,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per applicable Institute / project norms.

Duration of Appointment

The position will initially be available up to:

31 December 2026

The appointment may be extended up to:

31 March 2027

subject to:

• Satisfactory performance of the selected candidate

• Project requirements

• Availability / continuation of project funding
