The National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) invites applications for 01 Research Associate-II (RA-II) position under a sponsored research project of the Cyber Security Division, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The project focuses on Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Next Generation Data Carving and Preservation Techniques for Storage Drive Forensics”

The project involves advanced research in:

• Digital Forensics

• Cyber Security

• Artificial Intelligence

• Machine Learning

• Storage Drive Forensics

• Data Carving & Preservation

• Deep Learning

• Software and Security Research

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess either of the following:

Option 1

Ph.D. in:

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Information Technology

• Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Computer Applications

• Computer Science

• Related / allied discipline

OR

Option 2

M.E./M.Tech. in:

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Information Technology

• Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Computer Applications

• Computer Science

• Electrical Engineering

• Related discipline

with:

• Minimum 3 years of research, teaching, and development experience

• At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or SCIE-indexed journal

Preferred

GATE / NET qualified candidates will be preferred.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

Preference will be given to candidates having strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:

• Digital Forensics

• Cyber Security

• Machine Learning

• Deep Learning

• Article / Patent Writing

• Python Programming

Fellowship

The selected Research Associate-II will receive:

INR 61,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per applicable project / Institute norms.

Duration of Appointment

The position will initially be available up to:

31 December 2026

It may be extended up to:

31 March 2027

depending on:

• Satisfactory performance

• Project requirements

• Continuation of the sponsored project
