National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna) invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an ANRF Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) sponsored research project.

Position Overview

About the Project

The selected JRF will work on the ANRF-sponsored project titled “Developing Secure Maritime Tactical Communication System via Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-aided Hybrid Satellite-Terrestrial Network.”

The research is focused on areas related to wireless communication, VLSI design, FPGA-based modelling and advanced communication systems.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should have:

• Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.Sc./MS) in Electronics and Communication Engineering or VLSI discipline with at least 55% marks.

OR

• B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Desired Skills

Candidates should preferably have:

• Proficiency in VLSI design for wireless communication.

• Experience in FPGA-based modelling.

• Experience with the AMD Vivado Design Suite.

• Familiarity with Vitis tools.

Fellowship

First Two Years

INR 37,000 per month + 18% HRA, as applicable.

Subsequent Period

The fellowship may be revised depending on performance.

The position is purely temporary, and performance will be reviewed periodically.

Appointment Duration

2 Years

The position is purely temporary.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the last date for receipt of application.

• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Female candidates will be provided as per Government of India norms.
