National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Senior Project Associate under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored research project in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Design-to-Scale Framework for Solar-Assisted Membrane Systems for Lithium and Water Recovery from Lithium Mine Aqueous Streams: A Proof-of-Concept Study with Industry-Supported Deployment Strategy”

The project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a:

Doctoral Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry from a recognized University/Institute.

Preferred Specialization

Specialization or research experience in:

• Membrane synthesis

• Membrane characterization

• Modelling

• Membrane applications

• Membrane process design

Job Responsibilities

The selected Senior Project Associate will work on:

• Development of a membrane system for recovery of lithium and water

• Solar-driven DCMD system development and modelling

• Preparation of technical reports

• Research article writing and related research activities

Remuneration

INR 57,000 per month – Consolidated

Appointment Duration

The initial project appointment will be for 20 months.

It may be extended up to 24 months, depending on the progress of the work.
