Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 at NIT Calicut – DST-INSPIRE Research Project

The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) invites applications for 02 Project Associate-I positions on a contract basis under a DST-INSPIRE sponsored research project in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The selection will be conducted through an online interview on 16 September 2026.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Advancing Molecular Communication through Innovative Relay Systems”

The project is sponsored by DST-INSPIRE and will be carried out in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Calicut.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess either of the following:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or allied fields with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA

OR

• M.E./M.Tech. in Communication Engineering or allied fields with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA.

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Experience in mathematical modelling of communication systems.

Salary

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of:

INR 30,000 + 20% HRA

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 35 years.

Duration of Engagement

The engagement will be on a contractual basis and will continue up to 31 March 2027.

Selection Process

• Applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be shortlisted.

• Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email.

• The interview will be conducted online on 16 September 2026.

• Candidates already employed in a government or other organization must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview.

• No TA/DA will be provided for participating in the selection process.
