National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) invites applications for one Project Associate-I position on a contract basis under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored research project in the Department of Civil Engineering. Selection will be through an offline interview.

Position Overview

Project Title

NIRVAAH-BioLNG: Nurturing Innovation in bio-methanation Route for enhanced Valorization of waste towards Augmented Harvesting of BioLNG

About the Opportunity

The selected candidate will work on an ANRF-sponsored research project focused on biomethanation, waste valorization, and BioLNG.

The project is supervised by Dr. Abhishek N Srivastava, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Calicut.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should satisfy either of the following:

• M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Sc. in Civil Engineering / Biotechnology / Environmental Science & Engineering or a relevant field with minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA from a recognized university/institute, along with GATE or CSIR-UGC NET qualification

OR

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering / Biotechnology / Environmental Science & Engineering with minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA, along with a GATE score

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Biological treatment of waste

• Anaerobic digestion

• Composting

• Biogas purification

• Other related areas

Fellowship

For GATE/NET-qualified candidates:
INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA

For candidates without GATE/NET qualification:
INR 30,000 per month + 20% HRA

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 35 years

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will be for 1 year on a contract basis.

It may be extended for one additional year based on the candidate’s performance and availability of funds.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through an offline interview.
