Position Overview

Project Title

“Lignin Valorization via Biomaterial Development, Depolymerization and Green Technology”

The selected candidate will work on a time-bound research project focused on the development and characterization of lignin-based cement and sustainable biomaterials.

Available Position

The single vacancy may be filled at one of the following levels depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience:

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. Project Associate-I

3. Project Associate-II

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Essential Qualification

• M.Tech. in Civil Engineering

• Specialization in:

  • Structural Engineering, or

  • Concrete Technology

• Valid GATE score

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month + 9% HRA

Age Limit

• 28 years

2. Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification

• M.Tech. in Civil Engineering

• Specialization in:

  • Structural Engineering, or

  • Concrete Technology

Remuneration

• INR 31,000 per month + 9% HRA

Age Limit

• 35 years

3. Project Associate-II

Essential Qualification

• M.Tech. in Civil Engineering

• Specialization in:

  • Structural Engineering, or

  • Concrete Technology

Experience Required

Candidates should also have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Research and Development in:

• Industrial institutions

• Academic institutions

• Science & Technology organizations

• Scientific activities and services

Remuneration

• INR 35,000 per month + 9% HRA

Age Limit

• 35 years

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting detailed literature surveys

• Writing research papers

• Preparing technical reports

• Developing lignin-based cement

• Characterizing lignin-based cement and related materials

• Supporting research activities associated with biomaterials and green technology

Appointment Duration

• Initial appointment: 7 months

• The appointment may be extended for one year

• The position is purely temporary and linked to the sponsored research project

• Overall project tenure: 03 years

Funding Agency

The project is sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
