Overview of Role

The Department of Economics at New York University invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2027, subject to budgetary and administrative approval.

This is a non-tenured teaching position focused primarily on undergraduate Economics instruction and departmental service.

Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

The successful candidate will:

• Teach six courses per academic year, following a 3/3 teaching load.

• Teach undergraduate Economics courses at both introductory and advanced levels.

• Participate in departmental service.

• Contribute to the teaching mission of the NYU Department of Economics.

The ability to teach Statistics and Econometrics is particularly desirable.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

Applicants must have:

• Ph.D.

• Substantial evidence of high-quality teaching

Particular preference is given to candidates who can teach:

• Statistics

• Econometrics

• Introductory Economics

• Advanced undergraduate Economics courses
