The Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Department at Montana Technological University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of History.

The successful candidate will:

• Teach undergraduate American History and World History courses.

• Carry a normal teaching load of 9 credits per semester.

• Develop and teach courses in areas of specialization.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

• Earned Ph.D. in History or a closely related field

• ABD candidates may be considered if the degree is completed by July 1, 2027

• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate survey courses in both:

  • American History

  • World History

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Previous college-level History teaching experience.

• Established research programme.

• Peer-reviewed publications.

• Demonstrated scholarly productivity.

• Experience with student success initiatives.

• Academic advising experience.
