The Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNIT Allahabad), Prayagraj invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I position in the Department of Chemistry under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project.

Position Overview

Project Title

Smartphone-Integrated Quantum Dot Fluorometric Biosensor for Rapid On-Site Detection of Helicobacter pylori

The project focuses on developing a smartphone-integrated, quantum-dot-based fluorometric biosensing platform for rapid detection of Helicobacter pylori.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Postgraduate degree from a UGC-recognized University/Institute, including autonomous institutions.

• Minimum:

  • 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA for General/OBC candidates

  • 55% marks for SC/ST/PH candidates

• Candidates should be qualified in:

  • GATE, or

  • CSIR-UGC NET, or

  • GPAT

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Are highly motivated towards research

• Have a strong willingness to learn new techniques

• Possess prior experience in:

  • Materials research

  • Drug delivery research

  • Chemical delivery research

Fellowship / Salary

Junior Research Fellow – GATE/CSIR-UGC NET/GPAT Qualified

Project Associate-I – Without GATE/CSIR-UGC NET/GPAT

PhD Registration Opportunity

A candidate selected as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) may be eligible to register for a Ph.D. at MNNIT Allahabad, subject to fulfilling the institute's applicable eligibility requirements.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is:

28 years as on the last date of application

Relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for:

• SC/ST candidates

• OBC candidates

• PH candidates

• Women candidates

as per applicable rules.

Tenure of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for one year.

The appointment may be extended based on satisfactory performance for a total period of up to 3 years, subject to project requirements and applicable conditions.
