📋 Overview of Role

The Center for Economy and Society at the SNF Agora Institute, Johns Hopkins University, invites applications for two or more postdoctoral fellowships in Moral and Political Economy. Fellows will pursue cross-disciplinary scholarship while contributing to teaching, thesis advising, and the intellectual community of the Center for Economy and Society.

The fellowship is initially for two years, with an opportunity to extend the appointment for a third academic year. Fellows are expected to remain in residence in the Baltimore-Washington region during the academic year.

🎯 Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Teach two sections or seminars during the first year.

• Teach up to three sections or seminars during the second and third years.

• Advise senior thesis students in the relevant major.

• Pursue research in cross-disciplinary areas related to moral and political economy.

• Participate actively in the intellectual community of the Center for Economy and Society.

• Maintain residence in the Baltimore-Washington region during the academic year.

🎓 Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: Ph.D. completed or anticipated before the expected start date of July 1, 2027.

• Experience & Specializations: Scholars working on cross-disciplinary topics related to moral and political economy are encouraged to apply.

• Relevant Disciplines: The Center currently includes faculty and postdoctoral scholars with Ph.D.s in Economics, History, Political Science, Public Policy, and Sociology.

• Additional Profile: Candidates should demonstrate research interests and teaching experience relevant to the fellowship.
