About the Project
The successful candidate will work on the research project:
"Mechanistic Evaluation of Potential Novel Therapeutic Targets in Rheumatoid Arthritis"
The project is led by Professor Mariola Kurowska-Stolarska and aims to investigate the biological pathways regulating synovial tissue macrophages in rheumatoid arthritis.
The research will employ advanced experimental techniques including:
Synovial organoid models
Spatial transcriptomics
Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq)
Molecular and cellular immunology approaches
Key Responsibilities
The appointed Research Assistant will:
Conduct laboratory-based research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
Perform experiments using advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques.
Analyse and interpret experimental data.
Contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations.
Assist in preparing research proposals and grant applications.
Support the management and coordination of project activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and maintain accurate research records.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess:
A relevant degree in Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
Experience in laboratory research and experimental techniques.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
Experience with immunology, transcriptomics, or advanced molecular biology techniques will be an advantage.
