IIT Jodhpur Recruitment 2026: Research Assistant Opening at School of Liberal Arts
The School of Liberal Arts (SoLA) at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur) is inviting applications for a temporary project position as a Research Assistant.
The position is part of an indigenous research project funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (Ministry of Human Resource Development / ICSSR-MHRD).
Project & Job Overview
Project Scope: This ICSSR-funded project examines the art, culture, and lived traditions of the Sahariya (PVTG) community in Rajasthan. It utilizes visual ethnography and community-centred methods to document, preserve, and digitally archive indigenous knowledge systems.
Job Responsibilities: * Conduct extensive field work in Baran, Rajasthan.
Collect and analyse qualitative data (interviews, surveys, and visual documentation).
Assist in report writing and research paper preparation while working closely with Sahariya (PVTG) communities.
