Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has invited applications for the positions of Academic Assistant and Academic Associate in the Economics Area. The institute is looking for motivated candidates to support teaching, curriculum development, research, and other academic activities on a contractual basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be expected to:

• Assist faculty members in teaching and academic activities.

• Develop course content and teaching materials.

• Evaluate assignments, maintain attendance, and support student assessments.

• Participate in research projects, data analysis, and academic publications.

• Support MDPs, conferences, workshops, and other institute activities.

• Perform additional academic responsibilities assigned by the institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Assistant

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree with First Class.

• Candidates with relevant academic or industry experience are preferred.

• M.Phil. or higher qualifications are desirable.

• Candidates with B.Sc./B.A. in Economics and M.Sc./M.A. in Economics, or both, are eligible.

Stipend

• INR 27,500 per month

• Annual increment of INR 1,500 for each completed year of relevant academic/industry experience, subject to a maximum stipend of ₹32,000 per month.

Academic Associate

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant area.

Stipend

• INR 33,000 per month

• Annual increment of INR 2,000 for each completed year of relevant academic/industry experience, subject to a maximum stipend of ₹39,000 per month.

Appointment Duration

• Initial appointment is for one year.

• Extendable annually based on satisfactory performance and institute requirements.

• Maximum tenure is generally three years.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 years.

• Age will be calculated on the last date of application submission or the walk-in interview date, wherever applicable.

Selection Process

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online or in-person interview.

• Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting.
