Project Title

“Mapping Cultural and Social Contour of PVTGs Group of Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar: A Study Based on Folklores as a Method of Cultural Communication”

The project is funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research under the ICSSR Major Research Project scheme for 2025–26.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications in Social Science or another relevant discipline:

• Ph.D.

• M.Phil.

• NET qualification

• Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks

Applicants should also have knowledge of research and data-analysis software such as:

• Microsoft Excel

• SPSS

• STATA

Desirable Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with previous experience working on academic or sponsored research projects.

Remuneration

The selected Research Assistant will receive:

INR 37,000 per month

The remuneration will be governed by the applicable ICSSR guidelines.

Duration of Appointment

The position will initially be offered for 15 months. The engagement will be purely temporary and co-terminus with the ICSSR-funded research project.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be selected through an interview conducted by the Central University of Odisha.
