2. Department of Geography (ICSSR Funded Project)

Applications are invited for research positions in the ICSSR-funded project titled: "Land Transformation and Its Impact on Flood Vulnerability in Srinagar City: A Comprehensive Analysis of Socio-economic Impacts and Adaptive Strategies Using Geospatial Approach."

• Duration: 8 Months (extendable up to 1 year).

• Available Positions & Remuneration:

  • Research Associate (1 Post): Rs. 47,000/- per month.

  • Research Assistant (1 Post): Rs. 37,000/- per month.

• Eligibility:

  • Research Associate: Post Graduate in a social science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks / Ph.D. / M.Phil. / NET / SLET. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as a Research Associate.

  • Research Assistant: Post Graduate in a social science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D.

• Desirable Skills: In-depth knowledge of data entry, analysis, and GIS mapping. Proficiency in English and strong academic writing skills.

Applications are invited for a technical position under the ICMR-sponsored research project aimed at reducing surgical site infections.

• Position: Project Technical Support-III

• Number of Posts: 01

• Duration: 1 year (extendable up to 3 years based on annual assessment).

• Remuneration: Rs. 33,040/- per month for the first year (with a 5% increment in the third year).

• Eligibility: A three-year graduate degree in a relevant subject/field coupled with three years of experience, OR a Post Graduate degree in a relevant subject/field.

• Desirable Qualifications: NET/GATE/CSIR qualified with research experience. Good knowledge about antimicrobials, stewardship activities, and experience using REDCap.

• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of the date of the interview.
