Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi invites applications for 01 Research Associate and 01 Research Assistant position at the Centre for Korean Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies under an Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)-funded research project. The project focuses on documentation, ethnographic research, and digital archiving of Telangana’s vernacular knowledge traditions.

“Reinventing Oral Traditions: Documentation and Digital Archiving of Telangana’s Vernacular Knowledge Practices”

The ICSSR-funded project aims to document and digitally preserve vernacular knowledge practices, with research involving areas such as:

• Oral Traditions

• Ethnographic Research

• Documentation

• Digital Archiving

• Vernacular Knowledge Systems

• Cultural Studies

• Social Science Research

1. Research Associate

Position Details

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• Postgraduate Degree in a Social Science discipline

• Minimum 55% marks

Along with any one of the following:

• NET

• M.Phil.

• Ph.D.

2. Research Assistant

Position Details

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess any of the following:

• Ph.D.

• M.Phil.

• Postgraduate Degree in a Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks

The opportunity is particularly relevant to candidates interested or experienced in:

• Ethnographic studies

• Field-based social science research

• Documentation of oral traditions
