About the Opportunity

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) invites applications for Project Scientist-I (Medical) positions under an ICMR-funded research project in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

The appointments are purely temporary and project-based.

Project Title

“Development and Implementation of a Risk-Appropriate Facility Allocation and Network of Care Referral Chain for Pregnant Women in Puducherry: An Implementation Research”

The project focuses on strengthening referral systems, healthcare facility allocation, and implementation research related to maternal healthcare and pregnant women in Puducherry.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess any one of the following:

• MBBS

OR

• BDS / BAMS / BVSc with MPH

OR

• M.Sc. Nursing with MPH

Desirable Qualification

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Prior experience in supervising data collection in research projects

• Knowledge of implementation research

• Knowledge of qualitative research

• Willingness to visit Primary Health Centres (PHCs) for conducting interviews

• Good communication and writing skills

• Proficiency in Tamil language

Experience Required

Prior research experience, particularly in field-based health research, data collection, implementation research, qualitative methods, and maternal/public health projects, will be advantageous.

Remuneration
