Overview of Role

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is seeking dynamic educators for two full-time Faculty in Accounting positions under a 167-day contract.

The appointed faculty members will deliver in-person instruction and assess student learning outcomes across Scott Community College and Clinton Community College, with potential assignments covering alternative delivery methods and evening schedules.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Practice

• Instructional Delivery & Design: Deliver accounting coursework aligned with district course development models; maintain syllabi in CANVAS; communicate objectives and grading criteria clearly.

• Student Retention & Mentorship: Maintain scheduled office hours, track academic progress, utilize early alert mechanisms for at-risk students, and submit 4-week, midterm, and final grades on schedule.

• Institutional Governance: Serve on department, college, and district-wide committees and task forces; assist with student recruitment and retention.

• Professional Development: Maintain active credentials and records following the district's Quality Faculty Plan guidelines and stay current with accounting and pedagogical practices.

Qualifications & Work Eligibility

• Required Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, OR

  • Master’s Degree with at least 12 graduate semester hours in a related field, including a minimum of 6 graduate semester hours in accounting.

• Experience & Preferences:

  • Previous college-level teaching experience is preferred.

• Work Authorization:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. (EICC cannot sponsor or take over visa sponsorship at this time).

Remuneration & Benefits Package

• Competitive Compensation: Starting base of $54,198.18 to $62,046.08 per 167-day contract (optional paid summer assignments available).
