Admission Process for PGP (MBA)

Step 1: Common Admission Test (CAT)

Admission consists of the nationally administered Common Admission Test for domestic applicants, and GMAT for overseas Indian applicants or foreign nationals IIMA.

CAT 2025 Important Dates:

• Registration Period: August 1 - September 13, 2024

• Exam Date: November 24, 2024

• Result Declaration: Last week of December 2024

Step 2: CAT Cut-offs for IIM Ahmedabad (2026-28 Batch)

IIM Ahmedabad has revised its shortlisting criteria with candidates from General and EWS categories requiring an overall CAT percentile of 95, with a minimum of 85 percentile in each of the three sections MBA Universe.

Step 3: Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates shortlisted for AWT and PI will be intimated by email tentatively by the second week of January, 2026 IIMA.
