Overview of Role

Institut Mines-Télécom Business School invites applications for a 12-month Postdoctoral position in Digital Economy and Digital Platform Management.

The successful candidate will contribute to two research projects focused on digital platforms, recommendation systems, artificial intelligence, consumer behaviour, and AI education.

Research Projects

The position contributes to:

ANR PROPEOS Project

• Focuses on the impact of recommendation systems on consumer choices.

MACMIA Project

• Addresses issues related to AI education.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Analyse datasets using statistical software such as:

  • R

  • Python

  • Stata

• Conduct literature reviews.

• Write academic papers.

• Participate in research seminars organised by the School.

• Present academic papers at national and international conferences.

• Teach or lead tutorials related to the research projects.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

• Ph.D. / Doctorate obtained within the last 3 years

Essential Skills & Knowledge

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Knowledge of online media.

• Knowledge of recommendation systems.

• Strong quantitative analysis skills using tools such as:

  • Stata

  • R

  • Python

• And/or qualitative analytical skills in areas such as:

  • Text mining

  • Natural Language Processing

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.

Advantageous Skills

Additional desirable strengths include:

• Ability to write clear research summaries.

• Ability to conduct interviews.

• Knowledge of English.

Salary & Working Conditions

• Indicative Salary: Approximately INR 38.42 lakh gross per year

• Salary depends on profile and experience.

• The stated salary excludes any variable annual bonus.
