The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites applications from Indian nationals for one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under an ANRF-sponsored research project in the Department/Centre of Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Position Overview

About the Project

The selected candidate will work on the research project titled “Design of 100+ GBPS Optical Transceivers for Onboard and Inter Satellite Communication.”

The project involves advanced research relevant to high-speed optical communication, microelectronics, integrated circuit design and satellite communication technologies.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should have:

• Two years of research experience

• Postgraduate degree in Basic Science

OR

• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in a Professional Course

Candidates must also have been selected through one of the prescribed national-level selection processes, including:

• National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship), and GATE

• National-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments/agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates having exposure and interest in:

• Microelectronics

• VLSI

• Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Design (RFIC)

• Analog Circuit Design

• High-speed device/circuit technologies

• Keysight ADS circuit design

• HFSS/CST Microwave tools

Fellowship / Emoluments

INR 42,000 per month + HRA

Nature of Position

The position is offered under an ANRF-sponsored research project at IIT Roorkee.
