Project Title

“Autonomous Smart Pesticide Sprayer for Sustainable Agriculture: EcoSpray”

Project Sponsor: Balmer Lawrie

The project focuses on developing technology-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture, combining software development, embedded systems, geospatial technologies and agricultural data analysis.

Overview of Role

The selected Project Associate will contribute to the design and development of software and embedded solutions for an autonomous smart pesticide spraying system.

The role involves working with crop data, sensor systems, geospatial information and software integration for agricultural applications.

Key Responsibilities & Project Scope

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Design and develop software modules for crop data processing and analysis.

• Develop and implement embedded software for:

  • Sensor interfacing

  • Data acquisition

  • Communication

  • System integration

• Integrate embedded software with the developed smart pesticide spraying system.

• Build geospatial visualization and reporting tools.

• Present field data, spatial information and analytical results.

• Support technology development for crop monitoring and precision agriculture applications.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE)

OR

• Master's Degree in Computer Applications

Desirable Skills & Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Knowledge of QT

• Programming skills in C/C++

• Backend software development experience

• Familiarity with GIS and image geotagging software/tools

• Experience in handling:

  • Spatial data

  • Location-based datasets

• Experience with geospatial analysis for crop monitoring

• Knowledge of 3D plant phenotyping

Remuneration

Monthly Emoluments: INR 25,000 to INR 60,000 + HRA

The applicable remuneration will be determined according to the candidate's qualifications, experience and project/institute norms.

Duration of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for 1 year.

The position may be extended based on satisfactory performance and project requirements.
