Position Overview

About the Position

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Project Associate under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The selected candidate will primarily contribute to IT and system administration activities, including networking, server management, system security, troubleshooting, and related technical responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should fulfil either of the following qualification routes:

Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Computer Science Engineering

• Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

Candidates should also have:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience

• First Division in the Bachelor’s degree

OR

Option 2: Master’s Degree

Master’s Degree in:

• Computer Science Engineering

• Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

Candidates should have First Division in the Master’s degree.

Desirable Skills

Candidates with knowledge or experience in the following areas will be preferred:

• Windows and Linux systems

• Computer networking

• Server management

• Hardware troubleshooting

• Software troubleshooting

• Software licensing

• Web development

• System security

• Data backups

• Basic cybersecurity

• IT system administration

Good problem-solving and communication skills are also desirable.

Salary / Emoluments

The selected Project Associate will receive:

INR 40,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per applicable rules.
