Candidates applying for the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position should possess:

• M.E./M.Tech in Microelectronics / VLSI or equivalent

• GATE qualification is mandatory

• Good knowledge of:

  • Semiconductor Device Physics

  • Network Theory

  • VLSI Circuit Design

  • CMOS Design Logic

Nature of Engagement

• Position: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Vacancies: 01

• Monthly Emoluments: INR 42,000 + HRA as per IIT Roorkee rules

• Initial Duration: 01 Year

• The position may be extended until the completion of the project based on a periodic performance review after six months.

• The appointment is project-based and temporary in nature.

• The selected candidate may also get an opportunity for Ph.D. admission, subject to applicable Institute requirements.

Project & Technical Requirements

The selected candidate will work on the project:

“A Parasitic and Mechanical Stress Aware Design Methodology for Novel EDA Compatible Buffer-TSV Standard Cells for 3D ICs.”

Candidates are expected to have exposure to the following technical areas:

• Semiconductor Device Physics

• Network Theory

• VLSI Circuit Design

• CMOS Design Logic

• EDA / TCAD Tools

  • Cadence tools

  • SPICE

  • Sentaurus TCAD device/process simulation

• Hardware Description Language: Verilog

• Programming / Computational Tools:

  • MATLAB

  • Python

Candidates should also have enthusiasm to coordinate and work effectively with collaborating industry partners.
