Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate-III (RA-III) positions under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)-sponsored research project on nuclear coupled thermal-hydraulic behaviour of a liquid metal cooled Bharat Micro Modular Reactor.

“Design and Analysis of Nuclear Coupled Thermal-Hydraulic Behaviour of Liquid Metal Cooled Bharat Micro Modular Reactor”

The research project is sanctioned by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Vacancy Details

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Number of Positions: 01

Area of Specialization:

• Mechanical Engineering

Duration:

• Initially for 1 year

• Extendable up to 3 years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier

• Extension will depend on performance, availability of funds, and project requirements

Consolidated Salary:

• 1st & 2nd Year: INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA

• 3rd Year: INR 42,000 per month + 20% HRA

2. Research Associate-III (RA-III)

Number of Positions: 02

Area of Specialization:

• Mechanical Engineering

• Chemical Engineering

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Related streams

Duration:

• Initially for 1 year

• Extendable up to 3 years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier

• Continuation will depend on satisfactory performance, availability of funds, and project requirements

Consolidated Salary:

• INR 67,000 per month + 20% HRA

Research Area

The project involves multidisciplinary research related to:

• Nuclear Engineering

• Thermal-Hydraulic Analysis

• Liquid Metal Cooling Systems

• Bharat Micro Modular Reactor

• Computational Modelling and Simulation

• Mechanical and Chemical Engineering

• Computer Science and Engineering applications in reactor analysis

Eligibility & Qualifications

Candidates from Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and related streams may apply subject to fulfilling the detailed educational qualifications and eligibility conditions prescribed by IIT Jammu.
