Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) invites applications from Indian nationals for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a sponsored research project. The position involves research in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering and related streams.

Position Overview

About the Project

The selected JRF will work on the research project titled:

“Design and Analysis of Nuclear Coupled Thermal-Hydraulic Behaviour of Liquid Cooled Bharat Micro Modular Reactor”

The position is intended for candidates from relevant engineering disciplines interested in contributing to the project's research activities.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should meet one of the following educational requirements:

Option 1

• M.Tech. / M.E. in Mechanical / Chemical / Computer Science & Engineering

• B.Tech. / B.E. in Mechanical / Chemical / Computer Science & Engineering

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10.0 CGPA

OR

Option 2

• B.Tech. / B.E. in Mechanical / Chemical / Computer Science & Engineering or related streams

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10.0 CGPA throughout, starting from Class XII

National-Level Examination Requirement

Candidates should have a valid GATE/NET score or other prescribed national-level qualifying examination.

Candidates who were admitted to their M.Tech./M.E. programme through GATE qualification are also eligible for remuneration as per the conditions stated in the advertisement.

Fellowship

INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA

The fellowship is subject to the eligibility conditions prescribed in the recruitment notice.

Appointment Duration

The appointment will be:

Up to one year only or earlier, as required for the project.
