Position Overview

Project Title

“Design and Development of Advanced Anti-Collision System for Heavy Vehicles in Mining Sectors”

The project focuses on developing an advanced safety and anti-collision system for heavy vehicles operating in mining environments.

Job Description

The selected Research Assistant will contribute to the:

• Design and development of an advanced anti-collision system for heavy vehicles.

• Testing of the developed system in mining environments.

• Data collection and analysis.

• Preparation of technical and project reports.

• Design and engineering activities related to mining vehicle safety.

• Development and evaluation of systems for practical mining-sector applications.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.Tech./B.E. in any of the following disciplines:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Automobile Engineering

  • Industrial & Production Engineering

  • Manufacturing Engineering

Relevant higher qualification and/or industry experience in design and manufacturing will be considered as specified in the advertisement.

Knowledge of software such as:

• ANSYS

• LS-DYNA

will be relevant for the position.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Preference may be given to candidates having:

• Working knowledge of Finite Element Method (FEM).

• Experience with industry-oriented engineering applications.

• Knowledge of design and manufacturing processes.

• Experience with simulation and analysis tools.

• Exposure to vehicle design, safety systems, or mining equipment.

Project Duration

The project tenure is:

24 Months

The project is effective from February 24, 2026.

Fellowship

The selected Research Assistant will receive a consolidated fellowship of:

• 1st Year: INR 30,000 per month

• 2nd Year: INR 35,000 per month

• HRA: Not applicable

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 28 years

Relaxation in age may be considered for suitably qualified and experienced candidates based on the recommendation of the selection committee.

Upper-age relaxation will also be applicable as per Government of India norms for eligible categories such as SC/ST, OBC, women candidates, and other applicable categories.
