The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad invites applications for Project Associate-I under a sponsored Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) project focused on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drone) and related technologies.

Position Overview

About the Opportunity

The position is part of a MeitY-sponsored project focused on capacity building and human resource development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS/Drone) and related technologies.

The selected candidate will contribute to research and development activities involving UAV and drone electronics, product development, intellectual property generation, training, documentation and related project activities.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform R&D activities in UAV and drone electronics technology, including:

• Product development and proof-of-concept development

• Generation and protection of intellectual property

• Organization and execution of bootcamps

• Assistance in designing and developing Master Trainer courses

• Technical documentation and portal updating

• Product-development-related activities

• Manpower development, research in drones and drone electronics

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

B.E./B.Tech. in ECE/CSE/EE/ME/Aerospace Engineering, as specified in the advertisement.

Candidates should have a good academic background and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

• UAV Systems

• Communication Systems

• Machine Learning

• Signal Processing

• Sensors

• Computer Vision

• Drone Applications

• GPS Denied Systems

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in drone technologies

• Good communication skills, including scientific writing and presentation

Fellowship

INR 30,000 per month

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 28 years as on the date of joining.

Relaxation for reserved-category candidates will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Project Duration

The appointment is for 1.5 years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
