About the Opportunity

The Centre of Design Excellence (CoDE), IIT Hyderabad is recruiting a Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of its projects and programmes.

The role requires experience in managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and coordinating activities across design, engineering, media, finance, industry, startups, and government partners.

Minimum Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• Master’s Degree in M.Des / M.Tech / MBA

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or project coordination

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects involving MSMEs, startups, or industry partners

• Experience taking full ownership of projects

• Working knowledge of project management tools such as Notion, Asana, or MS Project

• Experience with budget tracking

• Exposure to design-led, craft, or technology-based projects

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Plan, schedule, and oversee CoDE projects from initiation to delivery while ensuring timelines, scope, and quality requirements are met.

• Team Coordination: Coordinate workflows across design, engineering, media, and finance teams and track progress against milestones.

• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for MSMEs, startups, industry partners, and government agencies.

• Budget & Resource Management: Work with the finance team to plan and monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and utilisation.

• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare progress and utilisation reports for the Ministry of MSME, RAMP Program, CSR sponsors, and review meetings.

• Programs & Events: Coordinate workshops, training programmes, design clinics, exhibitions, and outreach activities.

• Proposals & Partnerships: Support project proposals, funding applications, MoUs, and partner organisations.

• Mentoring: Mentor interns and junior team members and streamline documentation and internal processes.

Salary

INR 80,000 – INR 1,00,000 per month (Consolidated)
